This is a picture of Grandma’s house, painted when I was a child. We spent a week there one summer, and some friends (another family) went with us. The woman painted this picture. It was hanging in our house for decades and we recently had some prints made of the original. So I have one hanging in my home now.

WOW! This is an amazing painting Dawn- thanks so much for sharing! I had to look twice to realize it was a painting and not a photo! I think the tree in rear corner of the house is still there. And the hillside is covered with poplar trees now... but it brings back so many memories...!
I've often wondered why these old houses had two front doors? One from the living room and one from the bedroom (although we seldom if ever used the one from the BR). Did you ever sleep under Mammy's blankets on the feather bed? You'd sink down to your neck! And the covers were so heavy you couldn't move! But I loved it...!
